From what direction does the wind blowing in the vicinity of the Philippines in July?
The month of July in the Philippines is also referred to as the rainy or wet season whereas rain or monsoons are more likely to blow in the vicinity of the country. During this month until the rest of the year, the country experiences west or southwest wind or also known as the Southwest Monsoon. This is referred to as the Habagat season and is characterized by hot and humid weather, frequent heavy rainfall, and a prevailing wind from the west.
The Southwest Monsoon is also called the North American monsoon (NAM) which is said to originate over Mexico and spreading into the southwest United States by mid-July of the year.
